L-Carnitine May Help Hyperthyroidism
August, 2001
According to the August, 2001 issue of the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism, Italian researchers conducting aq randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled 6-month trial looked at whether doses of L-carnitine were able to either reverse or prevent and minimize hyperthyroidism symptoms. The researchers found that the l-carnitine can help reverse some symptoms of hyperthyroidism, and may in fact prevent some symptoms, and can also help prevent some of the bone loss associated with hyperthyroidism.
